We didn’t ask for this fight—we were forced into it.
We are homeowners who believed the sales promises, trusted the process, and invested in what was supposed to be our dream home. Instead, we were left to live with mold, structural defects, serious roof deficiencies, and a level of silence that made one thing painfully clear: In our opinion, this was never about helping us—it was always about containment.

That realization was devastating.
We were reasonable.
We were kind.
And we were ignored.
We were stalled.
We were gaslit.
We were treated like a nuisance instead of human beings with urgent, valid concerns.
🔴 So we’re speaking out.
🔴 Not out of hate.
🔴 Not out of vengeance.
🔴 But because silence is what protects the powerful.
We are doing this to inform others.
To make sure future buyers and homeowners ask the questions we never knew we needed to.
To ensure that no one else lives for months under mold-filled ducts or a structurally compromised roof—only to be met with delay, denial, and manipulation.
- We are not interfering with anyone’s business.
- We are not making false claims.
- We are telling our truth—supported by inspection reports, engineer findings, photographs, and undeniable evidence.
And let’s be clear:
If telling the truth makes someone uncomfortable, it’s not defamation.
It’s reflection.
If someone feels exposed by what we’re sharing, they should ask themselves why these truths are so damaging to their image in the first place.
Recently, we received an anonymous email threatening that we will be sued for defamation by Neal Communities — But we are not concerned—because we know exactly where we stand.
TRUTH is an absolute defense to defamation.
Everything we’ve shared is documented. Verifiable. Honest.
If any legal action were taken to try and silence us for sharing the truth, it wouldn’t just be a stupendous mistake—it would likely be seen as a SLAPP lawsuit (Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation), an attempt to suppress speech through intimidation.
And the law is very clear on that: SLAPP suits are not only discouraged—they open the door to even deeper consequences.
Because if it came to that, it would trigger discovery—a legal process that would allow us to obtain internal records, building plans, permit data, engineering reports, internal emails, and communications that Neal Communities may not want exposed.
And the media headline practically writes itself:
“Builder sues homeowner for speaking out about mold and building code violations.”
We’ve already endured months of silence, mold, and structural defects in our own home.
A lawsuit threat? That doesn’t intimidate us.
It fuels us.
In our opinion, this was never about just one house.
We believe that this is about a pattern, a system, and a culture of avoidance and containment.
We are not here to harm a brand.
We’re here because, in our view, that brand harmed us—and we refuse to let it do the same to anyone else, in silence.
This is our voice.
This is our right.
This is our truth.
We will not be silenced.
And we will not be intimidated!
